Porto Cristo is a
charming little resort on Mallorca's east-coast, approximately 65
kilometres from Palma de Mallorca.
Porto Cristo beach

Porto Cristo beach is situated in
beautiful surroundings. The beach is sheltered by a rock wall at its northern end
and the lovely harbour at its southern end.
The 350 meter long beach has fine
golden sand and crystal clear water.
It is possible to rent sun loungers.
Visitors arriving by car can park in
the streets behind the beach. Notice,
that some parking zones have time-limited parking.
Child-friendliness

The fine grained sand is perfect for playing and the water is
fairly shallow.
Water sports

Only pedal boats.
Restauranter ved stranden

The street behind the beach offers a good selection of restaurants,
including Burger King and restaurants with a nice view of the sea.
The resort Porto Cristo

Porto Cristo was
originally a fishing village. Now it is a beautiful and quiet family
oriented resort with a very good beach.
Tourism has become
the main source of income but fishing is still a important factor in
Porto Cristo, although the harbour is now dominated by expensive
yachts and sailboats.
During the evening
Porto Cristo is a very quiet resort. However, during
the day the resort can become very busy with tour buses
and tourists due to the
close proximity of Coves del Drac, which is one of the biggest
tourist attractions in Mallorca.
Coves del Drac has
Europe's largest underground lakes,
Llac Martel.
Porto Cristo also offers various boat
excursions with catamaran or glass bottom boat. |
