The beach in general
The picturesque beach of Cala Mesquida is situated in a bay. The sandy beach is about 350 meters long with sand dunes stretching deep inland. The
turquoise water is crystal clear.

The beach is quite unprotected and with the wind blowing from the north, northeast and northwest the waves get pretty big.

Child friendly
Large beach with pretty shallow water and a lot of space for playing. Big waves more often than on other Mallorca beaches.

Water sports
Pedal boats. Prime surfing territory.

Beach restaurants
One restaurant and a couple of bars in connection to the beach.

The city behind the beach
Cala Mesquida is a peaceful small resort with very little development. In fact you only find three hotels, with the largest of them being the Viva Cala Mesquida Resort.

The limited number of restaurants serves a variety of dishes. Nightlife is minimal.

Shopping in Cala Mesquida is limited to small supermarkets providing holiday essentials as well as a few souvenir shops.

Cala Mesquida auf Google maps
The sand dunes are very clear on the satellite photo from Google maps.

To the south you find the medieval town of Capdepera with its beautiful 700 year old hilltop castle. To the southeast you find the much larger resort of Cala Ratjada.
