Cala Major (Cala
Mayor) is situated only a few kilometres west of Palma de Mallorca.

then its popularity diminished and it most of all became a
residential area. Lately there has been renewed interest in Cala
Major and a lot of money has gone into its redevelopment.
The beach in
The lovely beach of Cala Major is 200 meters long and 80 meters wide.
It has recently been regenerated with fine sand and is now better
and larger than before. The water is crystal clear.
The beach tends to be crowded during July and August, especially on
Sundays where the locals themselves visits the beach.
