Cala Formentor beach - Mallorca

As the name Cala Formentor indicates, Cala Formentor is situated
on the Formentor peninsula in the northern part of Mallorca.
Driving to Cala Formentor you will pass Port de Pollensa. From
here there is a 6-7 kilometres drive in the mountains to Cala
Formentor.
The beach
Cala Formentor is about one kilometre long and very narrow.
The average wide is only eight metres!
The sand is very fine and almost white. The sea is crystal clear
and the water has the most beautiful shades of turquoise.
Combined with the pines at the beach and the view to the
mountains, Cala Formentor is one of the most fantastic beaches
in Mallorca.
Close to the beach there is a parking place. The parking fee is
5 Euro. Otherwise you can park the car along the road for free.
Child-friendliness
The sea
is relatively shallow but the space for playing
at the beach
is limited.
Water sports
Besides the traditional pedal boats it is possible to rent jet
skis at the other end of the beach.
You can also go on a boat trip with a glass bottom boat.
Restaurants at the beach
There are two restaurants at the beach. Cala Formentor also
offers a tourist shop.
