Alcudia beach - Mallorca

Alcudia is situated in the north of Mallorca, next to Puerto de Pollensa, less than an hour from the airport in Palma. 

Alcudia beach in general  
The beach of Alcudia is fantastic, especially for families with children.

It is a very long and wide beach with fine white sand and very shallow water.

There is a playground at the beach, close to the harbour (the northen end of the beach).

Child friendly
This beach is perfect for kids! Fine white sand and very shallow water. Even a playground at the beach.

Water sports
All kinds of water sports including water ski, jet ski and paragliding. The snorkelling conditions are all in all poor, the best spot is along the coast protection close to the harbour (picture number two).

Beach restaurants
All kind of restaurants along the beach and some in fact direct at the beach. Quality and prices are reasonable.

Alcudia resort
Alcudia has been one of the most visited cities in Mallorca for decades.

The general quality of hotels, shops and restaurants is average, but among the many hotels you find several very good ones. The same goes for restaurants, especially in the area around the harbour.

All in all Alcudia can be highly recommend to families with children.

Hotels in Alcudia
Aparthotel Viva Tropic is highly recommend for families with children. Here you find a huge swimming pool for the children featuring water attractions and a pirate boat (see photo).
 

The part of the beach close to the harbour is up to 100 meters wide.

Playa de Muro is situated south of Alcudia and Ca'n Picafort is situated even further to south.
