Mallorca’s best beaches for children
Mallorca is known as a paradise for families. Many good hotels focus on families with children, the island has many family-oriented activities, and Mallorca has numerous child-friendly beaches. Here we present the most child-friendly beaches so you can find your favourite beach in Mallorca.
Alcudia Beach
For those who know Mallorca, this comes as no surprise. The beach at Port d’Alcudia is undoubtedly Mallorca’s most child-friendly beach. It is a large, very wide beach with plenty of space to play in the fine sand. The best thing is the water, which only gradually gets deeper, and waves are an absolute rarity. It is absolutely fantastic for even the youngest children. At the northern end, there is even a good playground in the sand.
The holiday resort of Port d’Alcudia is perfect for families, and the Hidropark water park is particularly popular. Palma Nova beaches
Palma Nova has three lovely beaches, providing plenty of space for children. The beaches have fine sand and the water deepens only gradually. There are several good playgrounds behind the beaches. The child-friendly beaches have attracted families with children for many years, and one of the most popular hotels is Zafiro Palmanova, which has a children’s pool with a large pirate ship, water slides and a beautiful playground.
Cala d’Or beaches
The east coast of Mallorca also boasts many child-friendly beaches, but some are a little more exposed to waves. The five beaches in Cala d’Or are well protected inside beautiful bays, making them very child-friendly, especially for the little ones who can splash in the shallow, calm water. The largest beach, Cala Gran, offers ample space for ball games at the rear of the beach.

S’Amarador

The beach is located deep in a beautiful bay, so waves are very rare. There is a good beach bar selling ice cream, drinks, etc. Back in 2008, the beach was voted Europe’s best beach in competition with 3,000 other beaches. The neighbouring beach, Cala Mondrago, is also beautiful and child-friendly.
Es Trenc
Mallorca’s most famous natural beach is Es Trenc on the south coast of the island. A beautiful long sandy beach with crystal clear, turquoise water. The water only deepens slowly, and the beach is very child-friendly. On days with a strong southerly wind, there can be waves, which can be annoying for the little ones.

The south coast has many other child-friendly beaches, such as Cala Pi, which is completely sheltered deep inside a very beautiful bay. The holiday resort of Colonia Sant Jordi also offers two lovely and child-friendly beaches, one of which is right next to the town.
