This website is founded and maintained by Allan Christensen via the company WebSights.

My interest in Mallorca started as a child, when many of the family’s summer holidays went to the pearl of the Mediterranean, Mallorca. Later, I spent many family holidays in Mallorca with my own children, often staying in the resorts of Cala d’Or and Port d’Alcudia. But we always visited various lovely beaches around the island.

With an extensive knowledge of Mallorca and many good photos, the website www.mallorca-beaches.com was founded in 2009. The idea was to help and inspire other visitors to Mallorca to find the beaches that suit them best. People are different, and so are Mallorca’s beaches.

After starting the website, the fascination with Mallorca grew even more, and over the years it has led to countless trips. Each time with a focus on learning more about Mallorca and taking photos/videos for the website. In recent years, I have also recorded with a drone wherever possible and legal.

Mallorca is called the Island with a Thousand Beaches, and there are indeed many beaches along its 550 kilometres of coastline! However, there aren’t a thousand, official figures indicate somewhere between 250-270 depending on how a “beach” is defined. I have visited over 200 of the beaches, many of which I have visited several/many times. Some of the beaches are easy to get to, while others require a walk of up to two hours. These are often the most fascinating.

This website focuses primarily on the beaches, but there are also descriptions of holiday towns, villages, activities and attractions in Mallorca. Allan Christensen has written all the pages in Danish, from which they are manually translated into English, German, Swedish and Norwegian by experienced translators.
