Sóller in Mallorca

The beach in
general

The beautiful bay 'Bahía de Sóller'
has two beaches, one at each end of the bay.
The
city beach also called
'Port' runs alongside the harbour road with some lovely seafront
restaurants. The first small part of the beach (top picture) is
quite good but the rest is narrow and covered with gravel and small
stones (middle picture).
The other beach is Platja d'en Repic
which is a very narrow but beautiful natural beach (bottom picture).
The beach is mainly covered with sand but unfortunately with quite a
steep slope into the sea. All in all this is the best of the two
beaches.
Child friendly

None of the beaches are very child friendly.
Water sports

Pedal boats at the city beach.
Beach restaurants

Lovely seafront
restaurants especially at the city beach but
Platja d'en Repic also has
restaurants.
The city behind the beach

Port de Sóller is situated in the
north-western of Mallorca on the coastline of 'Serra de Tramuntana'
which surrounds the city with steep mountains.
Sóller can be accessed by driving over
the spectacular mountains, through the pay-tunnel or by the
beautiful 'Sóller
Railway' that has connected the town with Palma
de Mallorca since 1912.
