Ca’n Picafort
is situated in the bay of Alcudia about 10 km. south of Alcudia.
The beach in
general

Playa de Ca'n Picafort is the main beach in Ca'n Picafort.
The beach is 1.5 km. long and has fine grained white sand.
The beach is
crowded in front of the hotels but you will find a good spot
away from the hotels.
A wide traffic free beach promenade
runs all the way to the more modern area Son Baulo, which has its
own beach.
Child friendly

Playa de Ca'n Picafort
is relatively child friendly but the water is not that shallow
as in Alcudia. On windy days the waves can get to big for the
youngest children.
Water sports

Many water sports
including water ski, windsurfing, banana-riding and pedal boats.
Beach restaurants

The promenade
is lined with restaurants, bars and shops.
The city behind the beach

Until the late 1960's
Ca’n Picafort was a small fishermen's village with around 200
inhabitants. Now it is a resort with more or less 10.000 hotel
beds.
The resort is
less modern than average resorts on Mallorca. The area Son Baulo
is a exception, this part of the Ca'n Picafort is very modern.
Ca'n Picafort
has a strong German influence, with many of the restaurants and
bars targeting the tourists from Germany.
