Camp de Mar - Mallorca
Camp de Mar is situated in the southwest between Port dAndratx and
Peguera. The resort has about 8.000 permanent residents, but up to
30.000 during the summer months.
The
beach in general

The nearly 200 meter long beach in Camp de Mar is well protected
against strong wind and waves in a beautiful bay. The sand is fine
grained and the water clear.
The
beach is
crowded during the summer months.
Child-friendliness

The water is fairly shallow and waves are rare, which make the beach
good for children. The only drawback is the limited room for playing
in July and August.
Water sports

It is possible to rent pedal boats. The bay is relatively good for
snorkelling, especially around the little island in front of the
beach.
Restaurants by the beach

A wooden bridge leads to a charming little island in front of the
beach. Here you will find a restaurant/bar. There are some other
restaurants/bars in connection to the beach.
The
city behind the beach

Camp de Mar is a nice and quiet resort, which has maintained an
exclusive touch. The main part of the tourists in Camp de Mar have
planned their own holiday.
Evening entertainment is very limited in Camp de Mar but other and
more lively resorts such as Port dAndratx and Peguera are close by.
The
well known golf course Golf de Andratx is situated on the
outskirts of Camp de Mar.
Additionally, Camp de Mar is a very good starting point for hiking
or cycling. |
