Cala Formentor Strand - Mallorca

Wie der Name schon andeutet liegt Cala Formentor auf der Halbinsel Formentor im Nordosten von Mallorca.

Auf dem Weg von Port de Pollensa nach Cala Formentor gibt es einige tolle Aussichtspunkte.

The beach
Cala Formentor is about one kilometre long and very narrow. The average wide is only eight metres!

The sand is very fine and almost white. The sea is crystal clear and the water has the most beautiful shades of turquoise.

Combined with the pines at the beach and the view to the mountains, Cala Formentor is one of the most fantastic beaches in Mallorca. This explains why it is recommend to arrive no later than 11 o’clock.

Close to the beach there is a parking place. The parking fee is 5 Euro. Otherwise you can park the car along the road for free.

Child-friendliness
The sea is relatively shallow but the space for playing at beach is very limited.

Water sports
Besides the traditional pedal boats it is possible to rent jet skis at the other end of the beach.

You can also go on a boat trip with a glass bottom boat.

Restaurants at the beach
There are two restaurants at the beach. Cala Formentor also offers a tourist shop.

The resort
No resort.
