Illetas (or Illetes) is situated about 10 kilometres southwest of Palma de Mallorca, between Potals Nous og Cala Major.

The largest beach in Illetas is Platja d'Illetas which is located about 200 metres from Cala Comptessa. 

The beach in general
Cala Comptessa is a small beautiful beach surrounded by trees and with low cliffs on both sides of the water.

The beach is a little less than 100 metres long and not very wide. There is a small number of sunbeds and parasols for hire.

Even if the beach is small it is seldom crowded. Parking is possible in the streets close to the beach.

Børnevenlighed
Cala Comptessa is a small beach with only little space for playing. Moreover, the water is not as shallow as on the nearby beach Platja d'Illetas.

The resort Illetas
Illetas is an exclusive resort in the vicinity of Palma de Mallorca. Most of the hotels are four or five star hotels.

It is one of the most beautiful resorts in Mallorca with exclusive restaurants and nightclubs.

Portals Nous is situated to the west (and a little to the south). In the north-eastern direction you find first Platja d'Illetas and then Cala Major where the spanish royal family has its summer residence.
